Civil & subdivision

Earthworks, driveways, kerb and footpaths.

Cut and fill on a block, pads for new lots, concrete driveways, kerb and channel, footpaths, crossovers and stormwater. Statcon does not build roads. The road pavement is a separate contract.

On a block being subdivided

  • Cut and fill to lot levels
  • Building pads
  • Trenches for drainage and services
  • Block retaining where the level changes
  • Concrete driveways from the road to the lot
  • Crossovers, kerb and channel, and footpaths

The carriageway stays with the road contractor. Our concrete meets it at the kerb.

Kerb and channel

Formed kerb, including curves, with mesh in the concrete bay behind it where the job needs a pavement.

Footpaths

Jointed paths beside a road that is already there. We pour the path. We do not pour the road.

Reinforced concrete slab between screed rails

Slabs and hardstand

Long ground slabs and hardstand, mesh on chairs, screed rails set before the pour. This is slab work, not a road.

Stormwater
